Has served in a number of posts on the SPMC School Council, and was elected as president in 2004. Elected as President of KSJC on the SDM ticket in 2006 at the University of Malta Junior College. Has served a number of posts in the SDM Executive, as well as the post of Vice-President in JEF and of Secretary General in USTA. Was elected as Public Relations Officer of KSU on the SDM ticket in 2009. Has been involved in a variety of subcommities, at university as well as having attended a number of seminars and conferences, both as member of the audience and speaker on issues related to student politics and national politics. Secretary General - Karl Agius Course: Masters in Biology (Graduated in B.Sc. (Hons) Biology and Chemistry) Interests: sports, music, natural environment, politics Past Experiences: Secretary General (2006-2007) and later President of the Science Students’ Society (S3) for two consecutive years (2007-2009). He was also student representative on the Faculty Board of Science, a post in which he served for 3 years (2006-2009). Karl is currently KSU Education Commissioner, Honorary President of S-cubed, student representative on Senate, the Students' Charter Committee, the Library Committee, and the Student affairs committee. Karl also chairs the KPS Environmental Committee. He has been an active member in the Education Commission for the past 4 years. Karl has also worked in a number of sub-committees. Expectations: Work to improve our Educational system at the University while doing his best to make Students' House and its offices more functional. Education Coordinator KSU 2009/2010 Expectations: To bring KSU closer to students by keeping the students updated constantly and allowing them to give feedback on the things that go on on Campus as well as things organised by KSU. Course: 2nd year in Bachelor of European Studies (Hons) with Communications Interests: Sports, politics, travelling and current affairs Past Experiences: Participated in various youth exchanges around Europe and placed 3rd in the NSTF Mini-European Assembly 08-09 representing Iceland. Currently occupies the post of PRO in MUSC executive, acts as a co-ordinator of the French delegation in the Mini-European Assembly and has an active role in Santa Lucija Youth Centre SAY. Expectations: Wants to see organizations unleash their full potential through working hand in hand with KSU as to provide the students with the best possible service. European Studies (Hons.) with Geography – 3rd Year Interests: football, travelling, current affairs and politics Past Experiences: JEF Malta, Secretary General (2008-09), JEF Malta, President (2009-10) and University of Malta Geographical Society – UMGS, PRO (2008-2009 Expectations: To represent the students within the ESU structures in the most effective way, to try and organise an ESU event in Malta thus extending the benefits of ESU directly to Maltese students, to help Maltese students achieve the most out of international opportunities, giving a warm welcome to International students and ensuring they have a pleasant stay. Course: Law with European Studies (2nd Year) Interests: Music, Sports and Current Affairs Past Experiences: Involved in the local music scene, through various events organisation and promotion. Was also one of the directors for the SAC Soiree 2008 and involved in both backstage and acting/directing. Expectations: Bring University students closer to KSU and exploit all that University can give them, through various cultural and entertainment events, workshops and activities. Course: Bachelor of Laws with european studies. Interests: Drama, dance, singing, music and travelling. Past Experiences: Taken part in various big productions throughout the island, including MADCs pantomines, Students' fest and soirees. I was also part of the organising committee of Young Enterprise Malta for a year and one of the directors of the musical 'Hairspray' at St.Aloysius' Soiree 2009. I am currently attending vocal training,piano and guitar lessons and have trained in various styles of dance.
