Putting Students First

The Bill of Student Rights ensures every student knows what they are entitled to throughout their academic journey. It will be universally acknowledged throughout University, so you may rely on it at your time of need in whichever course you are.

What This Means for You

  • Fairer Resit conditions — no capping at 45%

What We Will Deliver

How We Will Make It Happen

  • The Student Charter is due for review next year — this team will not accept that Students remain in the same place they are now

Unlocking Student Potential Through Opportunity

We will widen the scope of Kokka Fondi to significantly increase uptake and ensure that more students benefit from the funding available, both locally and internationally.

  • Support for international opportunities, including conferences, music festivals, sporting events and student organisation trips
  • A system that is easier to understand and more attractive to apply to
  • More students benefiting from funds that are already available

We will ensure international students feel supported, informed, and integrated from day one.

  • Easier transition into university life, particularly during the first few weeks of the scholastic year
  • Support with key challenges like housing and admin

  • Campaign to ensure that lectures are in English, unless Maltese is absolutely necessary

  • Establishing of a one-stop-shop at the KSU Office

  • Equipped workstations with charging slots and good wifi connectivity

  • Use existing rooms across campus efficiently
  • Work with University IT and/or other service providers for infrastructure
  • Pilot and expand based on demand

Rethinking Students’ House

Bringing Students’ House Back to Life

Transforming Students’ House into a space that students actually use, enjoy, and feel comfortable in.

What This Means for You

  • Deliver a new Rec-Space within Students’ House which would double up as a meeting place for KSU Member Organisations at certain times of the day
  • Offer KSU spaces for indoor sports, dance, fitness, and other classes run by young and student entrepreneurs or which employ students to deliver these classes
  • Bringing your favourite activities closer to you — no more long drives to studios, dojos and gyms after lectures
  • Empowering Students by offering them a rent-free space at University from where to carry out their businesses, with close proximity to their student base

What We Will Deliver

  • Clearly defined zones for study, socialising, and events
  • Improvements focused on usability, not unnecessary redesign
  • More student-led activity within the space

KSU Representative in Every Class

Bringing KSU Closer to You

A KSU representation network across every class — offering class representatives benefits, direct support, and a voice that reaches from lecture halls to KSU leadership.

What This Means for You

  • An opportunity to be a real part of the largest student organisation in Malta
  • Benefits and support for those who join, as well as access to a growing community of students and alumni
  • Better representation for every student — we will never be too far away again!

What We Will Deliver

  • Class representatives added to a support network to voice concerns directly to KSU, share information, and call for help on behalf of their class
  • A benefit structure to make representation possible and attractive — currently many positions remain unfilled as students are inhibited, unsure, or can’t afford to take them on. We want to change that.

How We Will Make It Happen

  • Work with member organisations and University to find interested individuals and encourage those who are interested but unsure
  • Start with courses that currently have no structured representation, such as the Primary Education Course
  • Develop a benefit structure for all members of this community

Why This Matters

  • Representation is important to ensure students are treated fairly. KSU cannot be everywhere at once unless it grows — and it can only grow by making a conscious effort in this regard.
